What you need to know before your first class

New to LVL Fitness?

You've come to the right place. Here's a list of what to bring, what to expext and a few arrival tips.

What to Bring?

  • Grip socks

For your safety and stability, grip socks are essential. They prevent slipping on the machine, allowing confident and precise movements. Note: grips socks are available for purchase at the studio.

  • Water bottle

Hydration maintains energy. Bring a water bottle to rehydrate during and after class, aiding muscle recovery and performance.

  • Breathable clothing

Wear comfortable athletic clothes that allow full movement. Choose breathable, moisture-wicking fabrics to stay cool and dry.

  • Positive Attitude

Embrace the challenge. Lagree workouts push your limits, so come ready to give your best. Your mindset is key to achieving great results.

What to expect?

  • Intensity

Prepare for a high-intensity, low-impact workout. These sessions consists of controlled, deliberate movements for maximum effectiveness without the high impact of traditional exercises.

  • Controlled movements

Lagree uses slow, controlled movements to deeply target muscles, enhancing endurance, strength, and flexibility while minimizing injury risk. Each movement focuses on form and precision.

  • Muscle fatigue

Expect to work your muscles to fatigue. This exertion builds strength and endurance, leading to significant improvements in muscle tone and overall fitness.

  • Soreness

Soreness after the first few sessions is normal and means your muscles are adapting. Embrace it as part of your fitness journey, and remember recovery is crucial.

Make sure you arrive 10 minutes early! You need grip socks (we sell them if you don’t have any) and we recommend bringing a water. Eat something light and with protein about an hour before you come. We don’t recommend working out on a an empty stomach. Check out our New to LVL Fitness page for more info.

  • How do you pronounce LVL Fitness?

Its “Level” Fitness – let’s “level” up your workout!

  • What if I think it will be too hard for me?

It is always hard to try something new and the first few times may be a bit confusing as you get used to the Megaformer and the Lagree method. But Give it two weeks or maybe 10 classes and we promise you will feel stronger and more comfortable in class. We’ve had Olympic swimmers take class with a 75 year old woman. The great thing about the Lagree method is that everyone works to their level in class and the instructors can modify and advance all the exercises so that everyone gets a great workout that fits their needs. We also offer private sessions if you would prefer a private introduction!

  • How does the waitlist work?

If you are on the waitlist you need to check if you got into class (if enrolled in the auto text you will receive a text message). It is YOUR responsibility to remove yourself from the waitlist if you DO NOT want to attend class. You will be added into the class up to two hours prior if you are on the waitlist.
